youth academy | U7-u10

ACADEMY program overview

Our Coppell FC Academy program is the foundation phase of the club, specifically designed for our youngest players from U7 - U10 and led by our Club Director, Jon Davies. Our key player development objectives in these age groups are;

  • Technical Development | develop proficiency with first touch control, dribbling, short passing & ball striking techniques.

  • Ball Mastery | build a strong relationship with the ball from a young age in order to manipulate and control the ball with different surfaces of both feet.

  • 1v1 Domination | confidence & understanding on how to dominate the 1v1 moment offensively and defensively.

  • Small Sided Scenarios | recognition of game like scenarios & how to apply decision making in these moments.

  • Physical Foundation | incorporate speed, agility, balance and coordination relevant to the demands of the game.

Note - if your child has not played soccer before or is still very early in their development/experience of the game, we highly recommend you register for the Coppell Youth Soccer Association recreational soccer program.

If your player is older than the academy birth years, please visit our Competitive page for U11-U19 players.
